Happy Holidays from the LBC!

We had a good jam this past week with Jeff Norwood as jam-master -- thanks, Jeff! And thanks to Mark Schleiss on bass and Greg Levkus on drums, rounding out the house band while Dan and Landon were out of town. We hope that all our Blues Club friends are having a happy time with friends and/or family this week, and we hope to see you back again for another Tuesday night jam in just a few days.

In the meantime, it's a quiet weekend blues-wise as far as I can tell. But if you like some rock music from time to time, and if you like the music of the Clash, you might want to go see The Sandinistas, a tribute band -- they will play at the Pour House on Saturday, Dec 26th, 9pm. Rumor has it that this is the last live show they'll be doing for the foreseeable future, so don't say we didn't warn you. . .

Be sure to keep an eye on the Dough's website (www.adoughremi.com). On Wednesday Dec 30, the band Campfield will play. And keep in mind that The Wyatt Garey Band will play there on New Year's Eve, Dec 31. I believe that the cost of the evening will be $25, but that includes some food and drink, and champagne at midnight, I'll bet. Check with Stuart for all the details (allnightjohnson@gmail.com). Another option is a Bowens Island New Years Eve, $15 With Smoky Weiner and Drink Small -- call Smoky for details, 330-4066.

Also, mark your calendar for the next LBC board meeting, which will be Tuesday, Jan 5 at 7pm. And if you want to be part of the crowd that plans to rent a vehicle to get to Memphis in, come prepared to kick in $100 per person. We plan to leave in the morning on Wednesday Jan 20, and drive back on that Sunday, Jan 24th. We hope that the $100 will cover the vehicle and the gas costs, but we've never done this before, so there's a chance that there'd be a need to add in a bit more for gas for the trip home, but we'll have to wait and see. . .

Wishing you a happy holiday season, and much good music in the year ahead!!
