Blues Bash is here!!

Hi Blues Club friends!

It's time to celebrate -- it's the Lowcountry Blues Bash, organized by the amazing Gary Erwin (aka Shrimp City Slim)!! Starting today, Thursday, Feb 3, there are blues events all over town, every day for the next 17 days! If you don't already have your schedule of events, go to www.bluesbash.com, and print it. There are waaay too many shows for us to tell you about each one, but I will mention that there's a special Lowcountry Blues Club jam with our original jam-master Tommy Thunderfoot, who is coming in from out of state, to host an all-day jam at Home Team BBQ/ West Ashley on Saturday, Feb 5, from noon to 7 pm, and your $10 gets you all-you-can-eat oysters while they last -- we hope you can come!! And we'll have our usual Wednesday night jams at Home Team as well, so we hope to see you at those events, as well as many more... And for more info, check out the write-ups in the Charleston City Paper, and the Charleston Scene (in the Post & Courier).

In Memphis, right now: Dan Wright and the New Beat, Jeff Norwood, and the Wyatt Garey / Heyrocco band are performing this week, representing the LBC. We know they're having lots of fun, and we just wish we were there too! We're proud of them!

Also, this Thursday night, Feb 3, you can see Nick Mullane and Sammy Derrick's group Castle In the Air perform at 9pm at the Village Tavern, along with funk band Scratch.

Also on Thurs, Feb 3, Johnny Mac and the Booty Ranch are at Home Team/SI, and Davis Coen is at Home Team/WA. So start the Blues Bash right, and see one of these shows, or one of the others listed on the program -- sooo much to choose from!

Other local favorites with shows coming up during the Blues Bash are Skye Paige, Momma and the Redemption Band, Chuck the Cat Morris, The Groovetones, and The Tips, among others. So get out there and have some fun!
