VOTE! City Music Awards Nominees feature list of Blues Club Members.

Our Blues Club members and friends are well represented among this year’s nominees for the City Paper Music Awards. Log on to www.Charlestoncitypaper.com and vote for: The Louie D Project (also Louie D and Paul Walls individually), Momma & The Redemption, Sarah Cole & The Hawkes, Johnny Mac and the Booty Ranch, Skye Paige & The Original Recipe, Fowler’s Mustache, Old You, Hey Rocco, Mac Leaphart, Shovels & Rope…, Old friends Young MI, Elise Testone and Jon Hagar are also nominated. Congrats to all.

BUT, can somebody tell me how not one of our guitarists or bassists received a nod??? That is nuts! No disrespect to anyone who is nominated but many of our guitarists and bassists are truly world class talents and deserve recognition.

Also, why is Momma & The Redemption in the Funk/Soul category and not in the Blues category? Oops!

That being said, get out and see for yourself!
