Blues Bash is here!!

Hello Blues fans! The long-anticipated 20th annual Lowcountry Blues Bash is here!! If you haven't already done so, you need to get yourself a schedule from www.bluesbash.com and start strategizing -- there's so much to see and do! In fact, there's so much going on that we can't even begin to tell you where you should go. There are too many good choices! And most of these shows are low-cost or no-cost, so they won't break your budget. . . So you'll just have to make your picks and try not to think about what you're missing, because unless you've figured out how to clone yourself, there's no way to see it all. And if you see Gary Erwin while you're out and about, be sure to thank him for all the work he puts in to this event each year!

There's also a new event, billed as the "Charleston Blues Festival", which is a concert on Saturday, Feb 13, at the Charleston Music Hall. This is put on by a newcomer to town, Steve Simon, and will feature our own Dan Wright and the New Beat opening the show, and includes performances by Billy Gibson, Zac Harmon, and Shemekia Copeland -- it's a great venue, and sure to be lots of fun! Tickets are available at etix.com.

Look for other Lowcountry Blues Club members and friends playing during the Blues Bash as well: Sarah Cole (listed as Cole Train), Jeff Norwood, Robert Paige and the Holy City Sinners, Jeff Liberty and Electric Mud, Hitman, My Buddy Todd, Shrimp City Slim (Gary Erwin himself), and more. . .

So have fun, and stay safe! And if you see a great show, and want to tell your fellow Blues Club friends about it, feel free to make comments at our blog -- just go to www.lowcountrybluesclub.blogspot.com -- or you can leave comments at our facebook page as well -- we'd love to hear from you!
