Blues for you

Hello Blues Fans --

Thngs have been somewhat quiet since the end of the Lowcountry Blues Bash, but hopefully you've had a chance to rest up by now, and are ready to get out to see more music. This Friday, Feb 26th, the Wyatt Garey Band will play at A Dough Re Mi in Mt Pleasant, starting at 9pm, and the cover is only $5 - a great deal! Wyatt and his dad Ranny often come and play for us at our Tuesday night jams, so come out and show them your appreciation on Friday night! And they'll be filming this show, so you might end up seeing yourself on tv when it airs.

On Saturday night the 27th, there are a couple of great choices as well. Shrimp City Slim and his band play at the Dough, starting at 8, for only $5. Shrimp organized the entire Lowcountry Blues Bash, and this is your chance to see him play the blues and thank him for bringing all those great artists to Charleston for us to see. Or there's an option on the James Island side of town - you can see Smoky Weiner and the Hot Links play at The Smoky Oak Taproom at 1234-C Camp Road. Smoky will play his harmonica and sing some funny songs for you. . .

And of course on Tuesday, don't miss the jam at A Dough Re Mi! We had some new jammers who showed up last week, and everyone who came had a really great time.
Later that same night, the North Mississippi Allstars play the Pour House, with opening band City Champs from Memphis who start at 10pm, $20 (adv tix).

Have fun, and stay safe!
